Presumably, the idea of infilling the area enclosed by a high wall has a two-fold purpose : one to widen the area so that the base of the mountain can be extended and thus create a bigger mountain; and two the significant height of embankment will also prevent the wave action from pulling away the contaminated detritus from the foot of the mountain. At present, along the surface at the foot of the mountain slope a coating of frothy substance (as photos show - [see right column]) float on the surface. Does this substance that evidently derives from the mountain slope not end up on the beach, especially Catalan Bay beach - as the sea wave in Levant weather travels inland from right to left, thus ending up in 'La Caleta' beach? A Govt spokesman has said that the sand at Catalan Bay beach has been analysed and has ruled out contamination or other composition problem. He also added that the problem encountered at Catalan Bay beach does not occur at Sandy Bay beach because the sea there has washed up all the way to the top part of the beach and washed away all the dust from the whole beach. Also It should not be left unsaid that last week some Brain in Govt decided to have a long and wide tube placed from end to end at Catalan Bay beach to run water by two centrifugal pumps at each end, supposedly to soak the sand overnight and and resolve the problem of the airborne dust during the day. But someone with a bigger brain apparently decided to put an end to this enterprise and the two centrifugal pumps and the tubing have been placed on the side of the car park at Catalan Bay.

This weeks winner comes from the US Senate and is none other than the Senator for Washington State Senator Margarita Prentice, a true believer in feathering her own nest and making rules that are really only relevant as long as they don’t contradict with her plans. In short, a Politian!

In short the article tackles the issues of online gaming in the USA and the problems that sites such as online Poker sites, Casino and Bingo are facing in the US. Although the article was written before the Black Friday Indictments against PokerStars and FullTilt Poker in the states, it outlines the way in which the Politian’s, in particular Senator Margarita Prentice view the need for gaming as long as it suites them.

The story so far is that Washington State Senator Margarita Prentice was the driving force behind a 2006 state law that made playing online Poker a class C felony. In 2010 the Washington State Supreme Court ruled that the law passed was in dead constitutional forcing PokerStars, FullTilt and others to make the decision to block WS players from real money games.

The issue and the reason that Senator Margarita Prentice made the Wall of Shame is the fact that she actually accepted campaign contributions from the owners of the land based casinos making her a serious hypocrite.

In an interview that she gave with ESPN’s Gary Wise, the subject of Professional Poker players having to move out of the state in order to play, she said “You are going to move so you can play Poker? “Gee, lots of luck in your life. I have nothing against card playing, that’s fine if you want to do that, but I’m sure not going to worry about someone, you know. Let them go pump Gas.
