Rupert Murdoch's enemies say the tabloid owner is reaping what he sowed
SAN FRANCISCO -- To his many enemies, Rupert Murdoch is getting his comeuppance.
Murdoch's tabloid newspapers long have reveled in the misdeeds of others with salacious photos and pun-packed headlines. Now, one of the world's most powerful news media executives is learning what it's like to be enveloped in his own scandal.
"There is a feeling that Murdoch has been king of the world for too long and it's about time that somebody brought him back to Earth," said Mungo MacCallum, a political journalist and commentator who once worked for a Murdoch-owned newspaper, the Australian.
In recent days, the 80-year-old Murdoch has drawn comparisons to a cruel monarch, Richard Nixon, even the devil.
"All the powerful allies that used to help him, either publicly or behind the scenes, have faded to the sidelines," said Eric Boehlert, a senior fellow at Media Matters, a liberal group that frequently criticizes Fox News for what it says is biased and inaccurate reporting. "He is on his own, and he is in over his head."
Boehlert likens the crisis and antipathy surrounding Murdoch to the unraveling of Richard Nixon's presidency in 1974 as details of the Watergate cover-up were revealed.
If the scandal widens, newspaper analyst Ken Doctor said he believes Murdoch eventually will have to step down as CEO, though he could still retain the chairman's title.
"The people who are gloating now are much more in the U.K.," said Porter Bibb, a former news media executive. "He's really browbeaten the competition, most specifically the politicians.
Reaping And Sowing - News

The doctrine of a good seed and a bad seed in the bible, which is fundamental to the law of sowing and reaping, is very important in our society. “For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Gal. 6:7).
The then Sri Lanka's Peace Facilitator, Norway (the unofficial sponsors of LTTE) has reaped what they sowed. In No way we can deny the fact. Still the Prime Minister and high profiles are in shock to make themselves understand what really happened.

Does it seem he is finally reaping what he has sowed? Absolutely. He is driving the bus, after all, even as a figurehead or mouthpiece for the many boards. He has simply lost control of his passengers. A good lesson to anyone who wants to be king–or a

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND
Galatians 6:7 says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
The principle that we reap what we sow is taught and illustrated throughout the Bible. The effects of our choices may be experienced here and now, or in the hereafter when we stand before Christ. David secretly sinned against Bathsheba by committing adultery with her and then arranged to have her husband murdered. When confronted by the prophet Nathan, David repented of his sins. But notice what Nathan told David. “The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die.” But then he added, “But because by doing this you have made the enemies of the Lord to show utter contempt, the son born to you will die.” Seven days later the child died. Our actions matter! The story of Esther and Mordecai is another example of the law of sowing and reaping. Haman conspired to have Mordecai executed and to persecute the Jews. He built a gallows to have Mordecai hung upon. But notice what Esther 7:10 says “So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai.” It is true, “What goes around, comes around.”
Paul makes a sobering statement in 2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” In light of the consequences of sin in the present and future, and the knowledge that God will reward us for what we do in our bodies, how must we live in the present? We must realize that what we think and do matters significantly, not only in our own lives, but also in our family’s life.
The law of Sowing and Reaping is a universal law and it has been a very important part of every aspect of human life since the dawn of civilization. It’s a law that has never been broken! Someone has made the following very true statement; We sow a thought and reap an act; we sow an act and reap a habit; we sow a habit and reap a character; we sow a character and reap a destiny.
Paul encourages us in Galatians 6 and verse 9, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
